Start the Job Manager. To start the job manager, enter the following
commands in a DOS comm and window. You do not have to be at the machine
on which t h e job manag er will run, a s long as you have access to th e MDCS
installation.
1 Navigate to the folder with the startup scripts.
cd matlabroot\toolbox\distcomp\ bin
2 Start the job manager, using any unique text you want for the name
<MyJobManager>. Enter this text on a single line.
startjobmanager -name <MyJobManager>
-remotehost <jo b manager hostname> -v
3 Verify that the job manager is running on the intended host.
nodestatus -re mote host <job manag er hostname>
Note If you have more than one job manager on your cluster, each must
have a unique name.
Start the Workers.
Note Before you can start a worker on a machine, the mdce service m us t
already be running on that machine.
Also, the license manager for MATLAB Distributed Computing Server must
be running on the network before you can start a worker.
For each node used as a worker, enter the following commands in a DO S
command window. You do not have to be at the machines where the MATLAB
workers will run, as long as you have access to the MDCS installation.

cd matlabroot\toolbox\distcomp\ bin
