he gird that appears to select the number of tiles you want.
The following “B
efore” illustration has four tiles, but only three documents
are open. (The e
mpty tile is gray.) You can move a document to any empty tile
by dragging its
title bar to the new location. To close an empty tile, position
the pointer ove
r the handle
on the separator bar. It becom es a Close box, as
shown here, wh
ich you click to close the empty tile. After clicking the C lose
box, the empty
tile closes and the neighboring document expands as shown in
the following
“After” illustration. Similarly, click the Close box between two
tiles contai
ning documents, and one document becomes hidden. Note that
preferences
to show line numb ers and M-Lint indica t ors have been cleare d to
provide mor
e horizontal space.
Before
