Release Notes for R2006b
• Rank-invariant set normalization
• Volcano plot of microarray data
• Two-sample, two-tailed t-test to evaluate differential expression of genes
fi-om two experimental conditions or phenotypes
Version 2.4, part of Release 2006b, includes these features:
• New functions to parse annotated sequence data and read mzXML files
• New functions to apply basic graph theory algorithms to sparse matrices and
biograph objects
• Updated functions to read and access data
• Updated functions to analyze and visualize microarray data
• Updated functions to align and visualize sequences

Communications Blockset
• Fixed-point capability added to the Viterbi Decoder, PAM Demodulator,
PAM Modulator, PSK modulator, and Square QAM Modulator blocks
• Bitwise soft,-decision outputs enabled for PSK and Rectangular QAM

• New fixed-point MSK demo
• Faster BCH Encoder and Decoder blocks operate on shortened BCH codes
